Microscopic root treatment

Root treatment in numbers

The microscope has been scientifically proven to increase the success of root canal treatment, which is also supported by our own internal statistics, as the accuracy of the treatment and the durability of the results are significantly improved with its use. In the case of root canal treatments performed with a microscope, our success rate is 95%.

Benefits of root treatment

What does it offer more?

treatment step image 1

1

Microscopic root canal treatment is one of the most modern technologies used in endodontics, which greatly increases the accuracy of the treatment and the success rate. This method allows the dentist to work more thoroughly and precisely, which benefits the long-term health of the tooth.

2

In contrast to traditional root canal treatment techniques, the microscopic solution provides a detailed view of the internal structure of the tooth, including small branches and cracks. The combination of magnification and illumination minimizes the potential for error while preserving more healthy tooth tissue.

Microscopic root canal treatment can often be performed in fewer sessions, reducing stress and discomfort for the patient. Thanks to this, it is increasingly popular among both patients and dentists as a quick and effective solution.

Microscopic root treatment procedure

how does it happen

We briefly present the process of microscopic root canal treatment, detailing each step from the removal of infected tissues to the cleaning of the canals to the final filling. Here you can learn how this thorough procedure ensures the preservation of tooth health and long-term protection.

1

Consultation

The first step in treatment is establishing an accurate diagnosis. The dentist takes a panoramic X-ray or 3D CBCT image of the tooth to get a detailed picture of the root canals, their location and possible changes. Next comes the establishment of the treatment plan.

2

local anesthesia

To ensure the comfort of the treatment, the dentist uses local anesthesia so that the patient does not feel pain or discomfort during the procedure. Painlessness is our common interest!

3

Rubber dam

The tooth is isolated with a special rubber band (case dam) so that saliva and bacteria do not enter the treatment area. This ensures a cleaner and drier working environment and prevents the spread of infections.

4

Cavity formation

The dentist makes a small opening in the crown of the tooth to access the pulp and root canals. By using the microscope, you can perform this step more precisely and thoroughly, minimizing the damage caused to the tooth.

5

Root preparation

The dentist uses special tools to remove the infected pulp from the root canals. With the help of a microscope, it identifies and cleans even the hard-to-reach canals. During the process, you flush the canals with an antibacterial solution to remove bacteria and debris.

6

Root canal filling

During root canal filling, the dentist fills the cleaned root canals with a special material to prevent the return of infections. After the canals are dried, root canal sealant is applied along the entire length to hermetically seal the canal cavity.

ENDODONTIST

THE TEETH ROOT SPECIALIST

An endodontist is a dentist who specializes in the treatment of dental pulp and root canals, so he focuses all his knowledge exclusively on the field of root canal treatment. The in-depth knowledge and practical experience behind the specialist exam guarantee the highest level of care for patients. This professional exam has existed in Hungary since 2020.

Root treatment in Cofferdam

cofferdam is basic

The rubber dam is a protective system with a rubber sheet, which is used during all root canal treatments. Its use provides safety to the patient by preventing infections, protecting the oral cavity from chemicals, and allowing teeth to be treated in a completely dry, clean environment. Thanks to this, interventions are faster, more precise and more comfortable, while the chance of treatment success also increases.

Root treatment indications

In what cases is it recommended?

Under dentures

With this technique, we can reach and treat the root canals in a minimally invasive manner without removing the denture. Microscopic magnification allows us to precisely localize and remove infected tissue, as well as thoroughly disinfect the root canal. In this way, the tooth can be saved, and the already completed denture can remain intact, so our patients can avoid further interventions and costs.

Have previously had root treatment

If a previous root canal causes pain or inflammation, it may indicate that there is an infection or tissue left in the canal system that has not been removed. In our practice in Debrecen, we thoroughly examine and re-treat the old root canal with the help of microscopic root canal treatment. Using a microscope, the root canals can be precisely explored and cleaned, thus preventing further pain and inflammation and ensuring the long-term health of the tooth.

When the Gums Get Inflamed

When the decay reaches the tooth gut (pulp), root canal treatment is essential. In our practice in Debrecen, we use microscopic root canal treatment to completely remove the inflamed pulp and perform proper disinfection of the dental cavity. With the help of a microscope, our dentists explore and treat even the smallest canal sections, thus preventing the development of infections and other problems.

A broken device

If a piece of broken instrument remains in the canal during root canal treatment, we can effectively remove or bypass these obstacles with microscopic root canal treatment in our practice in Debrecen. This ensures that all sections of the sewer are properly cleaned and treated.

Microscopic rooting prices

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The price of microscopic root canal treatment in our office ranges from HUF 110,000 to HUF 200,000, depending on the complexity of the treatment and the number of root canals. This modern procedure requires serious machinery and a high level of professional experience, which our clinic fully possesses. With the help of the microscope, the root canals are precisely cleaned, increasing the success of the treatment and reducing the need for subsequent re-treatments.

our patient's story

Dental problems behind skin problems - Don't just spend on cosmetics!

I have always taken good care of my teeth, but unfortunately one of them had to undergo root canal treatment four years ago due to an over-drilling with a filling.

"It is a relatively new discovery that an inflammatory process in one part of the body causes disease in another part of the body." - At first hearing, it seemed really surprising that a dental inflammation could be behind my eczema skin. And yet this happened: the bacteria causing inflammation or the toxins they produced reached my face via the blood or lymphatic system and caused a rash there.

Unfortunately, neither dermatologists nor cosmetic and laser treatments could help the symptom, so I decided to consult a dentist. Doctor László Póti already saw on the panoramic x-ray and the CT scan taken on site that my root-treated tooth was indeed inflamed.

In the next step, the inflammation around the root tip had to be eliminated, which required a new 'microscopic' root treatment. In contrast to traditional root canal treatment, with microscopic root canal treatment, my tooth was saved painlessly, with a suitable treatment and perfect cleaning. After the treatment, when the inflammation stopped, my eczema symptoms also decreased and disappeared completely a few days later.

Microscopic root treatment issues

What can we help you with?

We have collected the most frequently asked questions about root canal treatment so that you can find out about the process and details of the treatment in advance. Our goal is to provide you with all the necessary information, so you can come to our clinic confidently and prepared for treatment.
The magnification of the microscope helps to reveal the internal structure of the tooth in detail, including small branches and cracks. This increases the precision and success rate of the treatment, reducing the chance of complications.
Local anesthesia is used during the treatment, so the patient does not feel pain. Because of the precision of the microscopic technique, healing is usually faster and there is less discomfort.
The length of the treatment depends on the condition of the tooth and the complexity of the root canals, but usually one or two sessions are sufficient. The microscope enables faster and more efficient work, so the treatment can be performed in a shorter time. One treatment takes 1-3 hours.
The precision of the microscopic root canal treatment increases durability, as re-infection can be prevented by completely cleaning and filling the canals. A well-executed treatment can preserve tooth health for years.
Currently, a tooth ranges from HUF 120,000 to HUF 250,000. We can only say more precisely after a personal examination.
All steps of root canal treatment: root excavation, disinfection and preparation of the root filling, as well as the control X-ray. However, it does not include the restoration of the crown part of the tooth, which can be an inlay, a crown or, very rarely, a simple filling.
